Arsenal legend who signs man city

Manchester City have secured the signing of forward Vivianne Miedema, who has agreed to a contract lasting until the summer of 2027. The 27-year-old Dutch international joins City on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal at the end of her contract.

Miedema, the all-time leading scorer in the Women’s Super League (WSL), attracted interest from clubs across Europe and North America. However, she opted for Manchester City, seeking a new challenge after a successful tenure with Arsenal.

Despite her prolific scoring record, Miedema has been limited to just eight league starts over the past two seasons due to injuries, including a significant Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear in December 2022.

Man UTD target

Manchester United are eyeing additions to the centre-back department this summer and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, providing an update on the club’s situation, has revealed that a move for Jarrad Branthwaite is still not out of the question this summer, with the Everton man agreeing to the move himself.

Prior to Raphael Varane’s exit, Erik ten Hag had every intention of strengthening his central defensive options thanks to their injury-struck campaign, which saw Jonny Evans, Willy Kambwala and the like earn more minutes than expected.

Real Madrid star who rejected a contract

A Real Madrid first team star has rejected a contract offer from the club according to SPORT, which cited anonymous sources.

Ferland Mendy was bought from Lyon for a fee of $52 million (€48 million) in 2019 after being personally requested by then-head coach Zinedine Zidane as a replacement for the aging Marcelo.

While the Brazilian fled to Greece, and is now back in his homeland at boyhood club Fluminense, following the 2022 Champions League final win over Liverpool, Mendy didn't truly make the left back spot his own for some time thanks to a slew of injuries.
