Manchester City have secured the signing of forward Vivianne Miedema, who has agreed to a contract lasting until the summer of 2027. The 27-year-old Dutch international joins City on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal at the end of her contract.
Miedema, the all-time leading scorer in the Women’s Super League (WSL), attracted interest from clubs across Europe and North America. However, she opted for Manchester City, seeking a new challenge after a successful tenure with Arsenal.
Despite her prolific scoring record, Miedema has been limited to just eight league starts over the past two seasons due to injuries, including a significant Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear in December 2022.
